The main purpose of this tournament is to provide young girls & boys with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills.  The tournament is STRICTLY volunteer coordinated with people who are interested in promoting the sport of basketball.

Every team is guaranteed 3 games based on team sign-up.  1st & 2nd place medals shall be given to no more than 12 players per team. Each player will be responsible for their own equipment and valuables as locker rooms will not be available.  The tournament assumes no liabilty for accidents.  Team waivers must be signed by each coach in order for their team to participate.  Balls with be provided so please do not bring your own.

Each team is to provide a scorekeeper/timer for every game.

Entry Fee:  $85 per team - email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of registration form & fee. 
If the tournament is cancelled due to weather, $50 will be refunded, $35 will be retained for expenses incurred.

Tournament Admission:  $4.00 Adults  |  $2.00 K-12 Students  |  Players & 2 Coaches will be admitted Free

Concessions will be available.  NO COOLERS PLEASE
Iowa Athletic Association Rules will be followed with these additions/changes:
  • Quarters will be 7 minutes long with continuous clock.  The clock will only stop on dead balls and shooting fouls in the last minute of each half.
  • Each team will be allowed 2 timeouts of 1 minute each - 1 additional timeout in OT.
  • Overtime will be 2 minutes long.
  • Coaches are to check score sheet for names and numbers of their players before each game.
  • Teams should be ready to play 10 minutes before game time.
  • There will be a 5 minute warm-up if the schedule permits.
  • Players must have same colored, numbered jerseys and can only be on one roster.
  • Substitutions must be made on a dead ball.
  • 4th, 5th & 6th grades - no zone defense full court pressing allowed the last minute of each half.
  • 7th & 8th grades - zone defense IS allowed - no pressing after a 20 point lead.
  • All-Star, AAU teams must play up a grade.
  • Any blood on the floor, a uniform or a player must be cleaned up prior to resuming play.
  • Good sportsmanship is mandatory!
  • "Seat belt" rule can be enforced for an unsportsmanlike coach.
  • In case of a tie in pool play:  Head to Head - Least defensive points given up - Point differential.
